1. About these terms
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern your use of our website at www.laze.london (the "Site"). Please read them carefully before using the Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is operated by Heather Niven, a sole trader trading as "Laze" ("we", "us" or "our"), based in England. Laze is a furniture restoration, reupholstery and furniture sourcing business that also resells fabric and related items.

2. Using the Site
The Site is provided for your general information and to let you find out about our work and get in touch with us. It does not offer online ordering or payment — any sale of furniture or items, or provision of services, is arranged separately by agreement between you and us.
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;
- use the Site in any way that is fraudulent, or has any fraudulent or harmful purpose or effect;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it; or
- knowingly introduce any viruses, malware or other harmful material to the Site.
We may suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal where we can.
3. Enquiries, quotes and no contract for sale
Any descriptions, images, prices or other information shown on the Site, or given in response to an enquiry, are for guidance only and do not amount to an offer to sell or to provide services.
Because furniture restoration and reupholstery are bespoke, the appearance, condition, colour, materials and finish of items shown on the Site may differ from the actual item or finished result. Photographs are illustrative only.
Any quote we give is an estimate based on the information available to us at the time and is not binding until confirmed in writing. A contract for the sale of an item or the provision of services is only formed once we and you have agreed the specific terms (including price and scope) separately, in writing or by email.
The specific terms agreed for any sale or services will govern that transaction. If there is any conflict between those agreed terms and these Terms, the agreed terms will apply to that transaction.
4. Intellectual property
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Site and in the material published on it (including text, photographs, designs, logos and the "Laze" name). These works are protected by law. All such rights are reserved.
You may view, download and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not use any part of the content on the Site for commercial purposes, or reproduce, copy or republish it, without our prior written permission.
5. Links to other sites
Where the Site contains links to other websites or resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
6. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
The Site is provided for general information only. While we take reasonable care to keep it up to date, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the Site is accurate, complete or up to date.
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or your reliance on any content displayed on it.
If you are a consumer, please note that these Terms, their subject matter and formation, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. This clause 6 does not affect any rights you may have in relation to goods bought or services provided under a separate agreement with us.
7. Changes to these terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Please check this page occasionally to take notice of any changes, as they are binding on you when you use the Site.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
